Shillong, July 25: Members of the Hima Sohra Tourist Assistant Team on Saturday distributed warning leaflets cautioning tourists and visitors against cooking or eating by the roadside and littering at tourist destinations across the Sohra region.

According to a statement issued by the team’s president to the media, accompanied by videos, the volunteers have also formed patrolling squads to drive away visitors who violate the restrictions on cooking, eating and littering at tourist destinations in the Sohra area.
The Hima Sohra Tourist Assistant Team, which is working voluntarily to maintain cleanliness in the Sohra region, has issued a strong appeal to all visitors, both from within and outside the State, to cooperate by refraining from cooking, eating by the roadside and throwing waste indiscriminately.
