Nangkiew Irat Edge Mylliem 1-0 to Register Second Straight SPL Victory

Shillong, August 31: Nangkiew Irat registered their second consecutive victory in the Shillong Premier League 2026 after defeating Mylliem 1-0 at the SSA Stadium here on Monday.

Ronaldkydon Lyngdoh Nonglait scored the only goal of the match in the 39th minute to hand Nangkiew Irat all three points.

With the win, Nangkiew Irat moved into the top four with seven points, while Mylliem remain rooted to the bottom of the 10-team league after suffering their fourth defeat.

Nangkiew Irat created several opportunities, particularly in the first half, but failed to convert most of them.

Wallamsuk Nongkhlaw had two chances in quick succession around the half-hour mark. He first fired over the bar after receiving a cross from Sangti Janai Shianglong before seeing a tame volley comfortably collected by Mylliem goalkeeper Rihoklang Khongjoh.

Sangti then came close with a header that went narrowly over the crossbar.

Mylliem also attempted to threaten at the other end, with Shaibor Nongrum firing a shot well wide.

Nangkiew Irat finally broke the deadlock in the 39th minute when Edyvenson Dhar advanced into the penalty area from the left and set up Ronaldkydon, who tapped the ball into the net from close range.

Chances were fewer in the second half, although Nangkiew Irat nearly doubled their advantage in the 68th minute when Jefferson Pakyntein struck the crossbar.

Mylliem had an opportunity to equalise around 10 minutes later, but Alem Khongwir failed to connect with a cross from Remark Kharmalki.
