Shillong, September 9: Meghalaya has earned a proud achievement in Kurash after two young players from Shillong won bronze medals at the 10th Sub-Junior National Kurash Championships 2026, held in Ludhiana, Punjab.
The two medal winners are 11-year-old Sonali Koch, who competed in the 24-kg category and is a student of Valley View Secondary School, Pynthorbah, Shillong, and 13-year-old Josaiah Thanga, who competed in the 55-kg category and studies at St. George’s Higher Secondary School, Nongmensong, Shillong.
International Coach Balamphang Kharkongor congratulated the two young athletes for their achievement and extended his best wishes to them for greater success in their future competitions.
