Shillong, September 28: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma has announced that the Central Government has released the balance instalment of the Post-Matric Scholarship for Scheduled Tribe students for the academic session 2025-26, amounting to ₹94.03 crore.
According to the sanction order issued by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs on September 15, the Centre sanctioned ₹94,03,38,000 as its share under the Post-Matric Scholarship scheme for Scheduled Tribes in Meghalaya.
Sharing the development, Sangma said the State Government remains committed to improving and accelerating the scholarship process to ensure that financial assistance reaches students in a timely manner.
The sanction is expected to facilitate the release of pending scholarship assistance to eligible ST students across the state for the 2025-26 academic session.
