Shillong, October 16: Pastor Kyrsoibor Pyrtuh of Mawkhar Presbyterian Church has expressed concern over the safety and security situation in Shillong after unidentified miscreants allegedly smashed the window of his parked vehicle at IGP on Thursday evening.
According to Pastor Pyrtuh, the incident occurred on October 15 when he parked his vehicle, bearing registration number ML05 L-4351, near New Hope Restaurant at IGP at around 6 pm before leaving to attend to personal work. He said that upon returning to the location at approximately 10 pm, he discovered that the glass window of the left-side door of his vehicle had been completely shattered.
Expressing shock and disappointment over the incident, Pastor Pyrtuh questioned the safety of residents and their property in the state capital, stating that Shillong was no longer safe. He also raised concerns over the security of vehicles parked in public places, saying that such incidents have created a sense of insecurity among residents.
Meanwhile, the identity of those responsible for damaging the vehicle remains unknown, and the circumstances surrounding the incident have yet to be established.
