ABVP TO RUN VOTER AWARENESS CAMPAIGN IN MEGHALAYA, POSTER RELEASED IN SHILLONG

Shillong, Apr, 11: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Meghalaya on Wednesday released the poster of ‘Voter Awareness Campaign’ to ensure 100% voting in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections at the ABVP State Office here in Shillong.

At the poster launch event ABVP National Media Convenor Ashutosh Singh, Central Working Committee Member Nibiang Sumer, ABVP Meghalaya State Secretary Tengku M Marak, State Joint secretary Bam Singh, Shillong City Secretary Fellinika Dkhar were present.

Under this voter awareness campaign, the students of the state under the leadership of ABVP will make the voters of Meghalaya aware by organizing various programs including distribution of informative pamphlets, small seminars in all the districts of Meghalaya. This campaign of ABVP will be run in east and West Jaintia Hills, East Khasi Hills, West Garo Hills, Ri-Bhoi districts etc.

ABVP’s National Media Convenor Ashutosh Singh said that the Vidhyarthi Parishad, as the country’s leading student organization, will make young voters aware of the use of their voting right . Youth is the power of this country, this time more than half of the voters are young. This time, ABVP will make efforts to ensure 100 percent voting, and especially the youth not only come forward to vote, but also encourage others to vote.

ABVP Meghalaya State Minister Tengku M Marak said that ABVP is excited about the voter awareness campaign among the voters of Meghalaya. Democracy is a festival for us, we will try through our campaign that more and more people come forward to vote in this election and become aware of the power of their vote. ABVP appeals to the voters to vote for the available best candidate instead of NOTA.
