Shillong , October 11: Meghalaya bodybuilder Bransley D. Nongkynrih of Iron House Gym secured two Overall Titles at the Sheru Classic NPC Regional North India Championship 2026, winning both the Classic Physique and Bodybuilding categories in Chandigarh on October 11.
The double victory marks a major achievement in Nongkynrih’s bodybuilding career and strengthens his progress towards professional-level competition.
Following his performance in Chandigarh, Nongkynrih has qualified for his next international competition, scheduled to be held in Kazakhstan on November 7, 2026.
At the Kazakhstan event, he will aim to secure an IFBB Professional League Pro Card, which would allow him to take the next major step towards competing at the professional level.
The National Physique Committee (NPC) provides amateur bodybuilders with a pathway towards professional competition through qualifying events. Earning a Pro Card through the NPC and IFBB Professional League system is regarded as an important milestone for athletes seeking to advance to professional bodybuilding competitions.
For Nongkynrih, the long-term ambition is to progress towards elite international bodybuilding events, including Mr. Olympia, considered one of the sport’s most prestigious professional stages.
His double overall victory in Chandigarh is also being seen as a significant achievement for Iron House Gym and the bodybuilding community in Meghalaya.
Nongkynrih will now turn his attention to the Kazakhstan competition as he continues his pursuit of professional status in the sport.
