Tura, July 28 : The Deputy Commissioner of West Garo Hills District, Tura, has warned the public about a fake rally notice that is circulating on WhatsApp and other social media. The notice claims that a rally will be held at Te’teng A’ja College Field on July 28, 2023. However, the Deputy Commissioner has confirmed that the notice is fake and that no such rally has been called.
The Deputy Commissioner has appealed to the public not to visit, travel to, or gather at the said location. Doing so might lead to unnecessary and undesirable situations or anti-social activities. He has also urged the public to refrain from acting on misinformation and to ensure peace and harmony in the community.
The Deputy Commissioner has asked anyone who sees the fake rally notice to report it to the authorities.
