MEGHALAYA GOVERNMENT TO PROVIDE OPPORTUNITY TO STUDENTS WHO MISSED CUET 2023 EXAMINATIONS

Shillong, June 15 : The Meghalaya Government has said that it will provide an opportunity to those students who missed the CUET 2023 examinations because of the allocation of centres outside the State.

In a statement, Joint Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya Education Department, Shri D. Lyngdoh, said that the matter has been taken up with the Ministry of Education and the National Testing Agency (NTA), Government of India.

“The State Government has been informed that opportunity will be given to those students who have missed the examinations because of the allocation of centres outside the State of Meghalaya as per the data submitted to NTA,” the statement said.

The statement added that the NTA will soon announce the dates for the re-examination for these students.

The CUET 2023 examinations were held from May 21 to June 17, 2023. The exam is a national-level entrance test conducted by the NTA for undergraduate admissions in participating universities.

The statement said that the Meghalaya Government is committed to providing quality education to all its students and will take all necessary steps to ensure that no student is deprived of the opportunity to pursue higher education.
