3 STUDENTS FROM AISPETC AT MATI, MAWDIANGDIANG CLEAR UPSC PRELIMS

Shillong, June 15 : Three students from the All India Services Pre-Examination Training Centre (AISPETC) at Meghalaya Administrative Training Institute (MATI) in Mawdiangdiang, Meghalaya have cleared the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) prelims exam. This is the first time in recent times that so many students from the institute have cleared the exam.

The three students are Nidakyrkhu Dkhar, Anmiel Azareel Syiem, and Thomas Edison Sumer. One of them is a hosteller at the institute and has expressed that the regular classes and test batches helped to crack the tough exam.

The institute has been providing coaching for over 125 students every year for the past two years. Faculty from major cities of India come for online and offline classes here regularly. Test batches are conducted at regular intervals. This has helped the three candidates to clear the UPSC prelims exam.

The institute will now arrange for mains preparation for these students, which is scheduled to begin in September. The mains exam is the second stage of the UPSC exam and is followed by the interview round.

More than 10 lakh students applied for the UPSC prelims exam this year, of which only 14,000 made it to the mains. The success of these three students is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the students and the faculty at AISPETC.
