MEGHALAYA’S POWER PLAY: SLDC BAGS PRESTIGIOUS NATIONAL Award FOR GRID EXCELLENCE

Shillong, December 18 : Meghalaya’s dedication to efficient power management has earned it national recognition, with the Meghalaya State Load Despatch Centre (SLDC) winning the prestigious 3rd LDC Excellence Award 2023 in the Emerging SLDC category. This accolade bestowed by the esteemed Jury Members celebrates the SLDC’s exemplary performance and unwavering commitment to ensuring a robust and reliable power grid for the state.

The award ceremony, held at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi today, witnessed GRID-INDIA and FITT, IIT-Delhi, jointly presenting both the 3rd LDC Excellence Awards and the 12th GRID-INDIA Power System Awards (GIPSA). Minister of Power and New & Renewable Energy, Raj Kumar Singh, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

A. Kharpan, Director (Transmission) at MePTCL, and T. Gidon, Superintending Engineer at the Meghalaya SLDC, proudly accepted the award on behalf of the state.
