Tura, May 22: The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) on Friday announced the results of the SSLC Supplementary Examination 2026, with 5,063 students successfully clearing the examination.
According to the official press release issued by MBOSE Headquarters, Tura, a total of 5,615 students appeared for the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) Supplementary Examination conducted from May 1 to May 8, 2026. The overall pass percentage stood at 90.16 per cent.
MBOSE stated that during the SSLC Main Examination held from January 30 to February 11, 2026, a total of 48,623 students had appeared, out of which 42,228 passed while 6,395 students were unsuccessful. Of these unsuccessful candidates, 5,615 students reappeared in the supplementary examination in the subjects they had failed to clear, and 5,063 emerged successful.
With the supplementary results included, the total number of students who passed the SSLC Examination 2026 has risen to 47,291, taking the overall pass percentage to 97.26 per cent.
The Board also informed that the examination process was conducted smoothly with the cooperation of the Education Department, District Administration, Police Department, Heads of Institutions and teachers across the state.
MBOSE further noted that the Supplementary Examination, which was resumed in 2025, had last been conducted in the year 1993.
