Shillong June 7 : In a successful search operation, East Khasi Hills District Police have found a missing teenage girl, Sonali Kumari. The 17-year-old had been reported missing since December 21st, 2022 from her residence DPI Compound, Crinoline Swimming Pool Road, Shillong. A case was registered at the Laban Police Station under Section 363 of the Indian Penal Code.
Despite efforts to locate her, Kumari remained missing until a police team led by Inspector K.P. Singh, the Officer in Charge of Laitumkhrah Police Station, obtained vital information on her whereabouts. They proceeded to Bihar to continue their search.
The police team’s efforts finally paid off when they successfully found Kumari in Bidupur village, Vaishali district of Bihar. The teenage girl was safely brought back to her family.
Superintendent of Police Shri. S. Nongtnger, IPS, expressed his gratitude to the team involved in the successful operation.
