New Delhi, July 23: The Supreme Court on Thursday cancelled the bail granted to Sonam Raghuvanshi, who is the prime accused of involvement in the killing of her husband, Raja Raghuvanshi, during their honeymoon trip to Meghalaya in 2025.
A Bench comprising Justices M.M. Sundresh and P.B. Varale allowed the Meghalaya Government’s plea challenging the bail order and directed Sonam Raghuvanshi to surrender before the police within three weeks.
The country’s apex court also observed that if the trial is not completed within six weeks, Sonam may seek bail afresh.
The case relates to the death of Raja Raghuvanshi, whose body was recovered in Meghalaya after the couple travelled to the State for their honeymoon in 2025.
