Shillong, February 19: The Shillong Traffic Police (STP) has announced traffic diversions in view of the 27th All India Police Golf Tournament scheduled for February 22-23 at the Shillong Golf Course.
Affected Routes:
- From Mawroh Tri Junction towards Golf Link Tri-Junction:
- Vehicles from Mawlai By-Pass wanting to go to Polo Market will be diverted at Mawroh Tri-Junction towards FCI Junction, Polo, and beyond.
- Vehicles can proceed up to MPPS (old PTS) only for dropping school children.
- From Golf Link Tri Junction towards Mawroh Tri-Junction:
- Vehicles heading towards Mawroh Tri-Junction will be diverted towards Tiara Restaurant Jn. – Chandmari Jn. – Mawroh Jn. and beyond.
Timings: Diversions will be in effect from 5:30 AM to 5:00 PM on both days.
Parking: Parking is prohibited along the entire periphery of the Golf Course.
Alternative Routes:
- Vehicles from Mawlai By-Pass to Shillong city and vice versa can take the Mawroh Jn. – FCI Jn. – Lumjingshai Jn. – Polo route.
- Heavy Motor Vehicles (MHVs) from Mawlai By-Pass to Polo and vice versa can also take the Mawroh Jn. – FCI – Lumjingshai
