TWO TEENAGE GIRLS REPORTED MISSING FOUND SAFE IN RELATIVE’S HOUSE

Shillong, June 10 : On May 26th, Pasteur Beat House received two separate complaints about two missing teenage girls, a 13-year-old from Golfink Khliehshnong, and a 15-year-old from Pynthorbah. Consequently, two separate FIRS were filed and registered under Sadar PS Case No. 131(5)23 and Sadar PS Case No. 32(5)23 u/s 363 IPS.

Upon investigation, it was discovered that the girls may have gone missing together as they knew each other. Despite efforts to locate them, no clues were found, and lookout notices were sent nationwide.

However, the Missing Desk of East Khasi Hills Police, led by Havaldar Sanjit Pandey and Investigation Officer (IO) of the case SI Topon Marak, worked tirelessly and located the girls safe and sound in Tumpreng, West Karbi Anglong District, in one of their relative’s homes.

As the investigation continues, authorities will uncover the reasons and circumstances behind the girls’ decision to run away from home.
