The Committee headed by Dr.Ampareen Lyngdoh to look into the Roster System and the Job Reservation Policy, on May 31st last, has agreed to the proposal of the Voice of The People’s Party (VPP) to set up an Expert Committee to look into the matter.
This was informed to the media by the party’s General Secretary, Dr.Ricky Syngkon, after the meeting was over. Dr.Syngkon also revealed that the Lyngdoh – headed committee would forward the VPP’s proposal to the government.
President of the VPP Ardent Miller Basaiawmoit, however, informed the gathering at the Parking Lot that until and unless the State Government agrees to put the VPP’s proposal in writing, he would continue his hunger strike.
