Shillong, April 26 : Shillong Sports Association (SSA) President Banteidor Lyngdoh has extended his best wishes to Mawlai SC as the team gears up for its I-League 3 campaign, set to commence on April 27 in Manipur.
Mawlai SC, the reigning champions of the Meghalaya State League (MSL), have established themselves as one of the most dominant football clubs in the state, with consistent performances in the Shillong Premier League as well.
Describing the club’s qualification for the national tournament as a proud moment, Lyngdoh said it reflects the rising standard of football in Shillong and across Meghalaya.
He expressed confidence that Mawlai SC will represent the state with distinction and hoped their participation at the national level would inspire aspiring footballers in Meghalaya to pursue the sport with greater dedication and ambition.
