Shillong, May 26: The Office of the Superintendent of Police, Fire and Emergency Services, Shillong, has informed the public that the telephone numbers of the Fire and Emergency Services previously reflected in local dailies under the column “Important Phone Numbers” are no longer in use.
Further, the Government has introduced 112 as the single emergency helpline number under the Emergency Response Support System (ERSS), integrating all previous emergency service numbers such as Police (100), Fire (101), Ambulance (108), etc., into a unified emergency response system.
The Meghalaya Fire and Emergency Services can now be contacted through the emergency helpline number 112 and landline number 2520400.
