KSU Accepts Govt’s Invitation for Talks on Five-Point Demands; Meeting Fixed for Aug 26

Shillong, August 25 : The Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) has accepted the Meghalaya government’s invitation for an official meeting to discuss the five-point charter of demands raised by the union.

According to a communication issued by the Home (Political) Department on Tuesday, Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma will hold a meeting with representatives of the KSU on August 26 at 6 PM at the Conference Hall of the Meghalaya Secretariat, Main Building, Shillong.

The government said the meeting will discuss the issues and concerns raised by the union and requested KSU representatives to attend.

Following receipt of the communication, the KSU confirmed that it has accepted the government’s invitation for talks on its five demands.

The union said the meeting will be held as scheduled on Wednesday, August 26, at 6 PM.
