Shillong, September 13: The semi-finals of Big FM’s Big Futsal Fest delivered two thrilling matches, setting the stage for a highly anticipated final between AG Meghalaya and Meghalaya Secretariat Home Guards.
In the first semi-final, AG Meghalaya and MeECL played a closely contested match that ended in a 4-4 draw. The match went to penalties, where AG Meghalaya emerged victorious 3-1. Shane Sohktung once again starred for AG Meghalaya, scoring a hat trick.
In the second semi-final, Meghalaya Secretariat Home Guards dominated MIMHANS, winning 10-2. Fivestar Shylla continued his impressive form, scoring five goals for his team.
The final between AG Meghalaya and Meghalaya Secretariat Home Guards will take place on September 14 at 4 PM at the Thrive Sports Arena, Langkydring. The match is expected to be a highly competitive clash between two of the tournament’s top teams.
Big Futsal Fest is a unique initiative aimed at promoting futsal in Shillong through competition, friendly rivalry, and sportsmanship. It is organized by Big FM with support from the Department of Sports & Youth Affairs, Maruti Suzuki Arena, Royal Enfield, Indian Bank, T7 News, and the Directorate of Information & Public Relations.
