Shillong, August 7 : The Shooting Association of Meghalaya will conduct the 10th North East Zone Shooting Championship in small bore Rifle and Pistol events at the Assam Regimental Centre, Happy Valley, Shillong, Meghalaya from August 20-27, 2023.
The competition is open to shooters belonging to the North East Zone only and is expected to attract more than 300 shooters from Assam, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya.
The championship will be conducted over 50 events in the 10m rifle & pistol, 25m pistol, 50m rifle open sight & peep sight and 50m pistol for both men and women.
Shooters who are below 21 years, 19 years and 16 years of age as on the first day of the competition (August 20, 2023) will be considered under the category of JUNIOR, YOUTH and SUB-YOUTH for the championship. Shooters above the age of 21 years can participate only in matches for SENIOR. Shooters who have completed the age of 60 years may participate in matches for SENIOR MASTER and shooters between the age of 45-60 years can participate in matches for MASTER.
The entries will be accepted through respective affiliated State Rifle Association/Units only. The entries will be accepted via NRAI’s online system and no paper entry will be accepted. The shooters are required to visit the website www.nral.org to fill their entries along with online payment of entry fee.
The entries will be accepted till 9 PM on August 14, 2023.
