Shillong, February 13: The Home Police Department, Government of Meghalaya on February 13, 2024 announced a series of major transfers and postings, affecting several key positions across the state.
Key Changes:
Superintendent of Police (SP) East Khasi Hills: Sylvester Nongtnger, IPS, is transferred to Commandant, 6th MLP Bn, Umran. Rituraj Ravi, IPS, takes over as SP East Khasi Hills.
CID: Vivek Syiem, IPS, replaces Pankaj Kumar Rasgania, IPS, as Superintendent of Police.
West Garo Hills District: Dr Dara Aswaghosh, IPS, is the new Superintendent of Police, succeeding Abraham T. Sangma, MPS.
Superintendent of Police (City) Shillong: Pankaj Kumar Rasgania, IPS, moves to this role, with Vivek Syiem, IPS, taking his previous position in CID.
