Shillong, September 02 : The Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) of the East Khasi Hills District in Shillong has arrested four inter-state drug traffickers, including a woman, and seized a large quantity of heroin.
The operation was conducted on Friday evening around 8.30 pm at Demthring, Shillong. The police recovered 55 boxes of heroin weighing 638.5 grams worth 6 Crores from the possession of the accused. They also seized two mobile phones, a Maruti Suzuki Eeco vehicle bearing registration number AS14 AC 0984 and an EPIC card and Aadhaar card.
A case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. The accused are being interrogated and further investigation is underway.
