Jowai, June 30 : Based on the lead from the arrest of Jimmy Sutnga, police in Jowai arrested another drug supplier, Sdangki Myrphet, on June 30, 2023. Myrphet was detained at around 3 am and a body search revealed 4.61 grams of contraband, which tested positive for heroin. Cash of Rs. 1,90,500 and an Alto 800 without a number plate were also seized from his possession. Other items such as soap cases, golden tobacco containers, and pencil vials were also found.
Myrphet has been arrested and necessary legal action has been taken up. This week, a total of 6.02 grams of contraband has been seized in Jowai.
