Zee Entertainment Secures Exclusive India Rights for FIFA World Cup 2026

Shillong, June 1: Football fans across India will be able to watch every match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup live through Zee Entertainment, which has secured the exclusive media rights for the tournament in the country.

Under the agreement, all FIFA World Cup 2026 matches will be broadcast live on Zee’s newly launched Unite8 Sports network. Viewers can tune in to Unite8 Sports 1, Unite8 Sports 1 HD, Unite8 Sports 2, and Unite8 Sports 2 HD for television coverage of the tournament.

In addition to television broadcasts, football enthusiasts will also be able to live stream all matches on the ZEE5 platform, ensuring comprehensive coverage across digital and broadcast platforms.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup is scheduled to kick off on June 11, 2026, and will be jointly hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada. The tournament will make history as the first FIFA World Cup to feature an expanded 48-team format, increasing the number of matches to 104.

The deal represents a significant milestone for Zee Entertainment as it strengthens its presence in international sports broadcasting. Besides securing the rights for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the agreement also includes broadcast rights to 39 additional FIFA events between 2026 and 2034, including the FIFA World Cup 2030.

The acquisition is expected to provide Indian football fans with extensive access to FIFA competitions over the next decade while marking a major expansion of Zee’s sports content portfolio.
