27 MEGHALAYA CITIZENS STRANDED IN ISRAEL-PALESTINE CONFLICT SAFELY CROSS BORDER INTO EGYPT

Shillong, October 8 : The 27 citizens of Meghalaya who were stranded in the war conflict zone of Israel and Palestine have safely crossed the border into Egypt, thanks to the efforts of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and the Indian mission in Tel Aviv.

The pilgrims had been stranded in Bethlehem due to the escalating tensions between Israel and Palestine. The MEA had been working closely with the Indian mission to ensure their safe passage back home.

The Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Conrad K. Sangma, has expressed his relief and gratitude to the MEA and the Indian mission for their efforts in ensuring the safe return of the pilgrims.

“As per the latest information and through the efforts of MEA and our Indian mission, our 27 citizens from Meghalaya, who were stuck in the war conflict zone of Israel and Palestine have safely crossed the border into Egypt” Sangma said in a tweet.
