Shillong, July 14 : The Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi Hills District has announced a pilot project for Aadhaar verification in the selected areas of Mawsynram, Jhalupara, Mawbah, Upper Mawprem, Lumdiengsoh, Lumpyngngad, Lumsohphoh, Pynthorumkhrah, Demseiniong, Madanrting and Lawmali (Polo).
All residents above the age of 18 years in these areas are requested to keep their documents ready, viz. Aadhaar Card, EPIC (proof of identity and address), passport (proof of identity and address), PAN Card (proof for identity), driving license (proof of address), in original whenever the officials from the Government will visit the area.
